Types of Information Management Systems

Compensation Information System

I. Senior Management Information System

The Senior Management Information System (SLIS) provides a view of compensation information for Senior Leadership Employees. The system is a single repository for senior management compensation data, and is intended to facilitate analysis and reporting. The system is also designed as a mechanism for handling and tracking requests and answering questions quickly and consistently.

II. Workers Compensation Information System

Compensation information system (CIS) uses electronic data interchange (EDI) to collect comprehensive information from claims administrators to help the Department of Industrial Relations oversee the state's workers' compensation system. This information helps facilitate evaluation of the system and measure adequacy of benefits for injured workers and their dependents, and also provides statistical data for research.
